there is a superb diagram that attempts to compare various learning theories- behaviourism, cognitivism,constructivism and connectivism. I'm curious about the way cognitivism is summarised. I had always thought of cognitive activity as an active brain and mind function. This description makes it seem very passive. I woudl like to know what others think that a cognitive theory of learning says about those engaged in it, and how we might assess it?
